FAQs
Of The Wild is a holistic, integrative private practice offering psychotherapy, yoga, astrology, and wellness events. The focus is on helping you heal trauma and come home to your true self.
Alex specializes in childhood/developmental and relationship trauma and inner child healing using depth-oriented, integrative, and trauma-focused modalities such as EMDR. She supports individuals ages 16+ who may experience challenges with self-esteem, self-worth, perfectionism, codependency, family and interpersonal issues, sex/intimacy, anxiety, depression, and stress/burnout. She also works with folks on a spiritual healing path who seek more meaning, purpose, and wholeness.
Yes. Of The Wild is grounded in inclusivity, compassion, and respect for the diversity of human experiences. Alex recognizes that each person’s individual and collective identity, culture, intergenerational history, and way of being in the world shape their inner landscape. Alex works collaboratively, honouring your lived experience and adapting the therapeutic process to your unique needs, values, and ways of being and becoming. She intends to create a space where you feel seen, respected, empowered, and supported in your wholeness.
Therapeutic fit is essential. If you feel drawn to depth and understanding the roots of your challenges, moving on from the past, healing trauma, and going beyond short-term symptom relief toward reconnecting with your true self and feeling whole, you’re in the right place! A free initial consultation (https://ofthewild.janeapp.com/#/initial-consultation)can help us determine this.
The first session is a gentle intake focused on understanding your story, current concerns, what you’re hoping to cultivate, and getting to know each other. You can also expect to go over guidelines for consent and confidentiality. We explore at a pace that feels comfortable for you. If we choose EMDR therapy, the initial phase of therapy focuses on an assessment and developing resources to help you, your brain, and your nervous system feel safe to do deeper work.
Each session ranges from your choice of 30-90 minutes. The amount of session varies for each person. Some seek shorter-term support; others benefit from a longer therapeutic container. A depth and trauma-focused approach often thrives on a long-term, open-ended framework. We’ll collaborate on what feels right and accessible for you as each client is different.
